Sometimes the climb to the top
of the mountain
is rigorous and uneven.
Rest and gather strength
on the summit.
Look to the person next to you
who never strayed from your side.
Then with a smile and a wink
set off together
for the next adventure.

Yeah, I know what that is like. We used to live in Michigan and Minnesota. 😉 Hiking trails work. They often come to some outlook over a river canyon or the like.

And those mountains aren’t necessarily real, put your boots on, grab your hiking pole kinds of dirt piles either. Thanks for this.

Wow, that is so cool! I live in the Midwest so no mountains; just some bluffs and ski-hills. 😀

When I first met my wife, we spent a lot of time conquering mountaintops together. It was always a euphoric experience to look out and stretch after a good climb. We still head for the peaks whenever we can. The vistas always look that much better beside that special someone.
