She connects with the world
through her heart.
Tending to one flower, one smile
one child at a time.
As she walks through the woods
the trees remind her
to find peace and trust the journey.

Its always a work in progress to trust our journey. It would be great if it was easier and linear. Wouldn’t it?! At least thats what I say to myself. 😳❤️

Trusting the Journey is something I am battling with right now. This is something I need to surrender to. Thank you for sharing this.

Isaiah 61:3
New King James Version (NKJV)
3 To console those who mourn in Zion,
To give them beauty for ashes,
The oil of joy for mourning,
The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;
That they may be called trees of righteousness,
The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.”

Thanks. Life will improve once I can limit my interaction with humans.

Oh wow, I really like this poem. I absolutely love the honesty and the connection to nature, a way of praying. Thank you for sharing this. I know your workplace has been so incredibly stressful and Im glad you can find moments of peace and quiet. ❤️

Given what’s going on at my workplace I value my alone time even more. I tend to disconnect from people when problems arise. Last Saturday I spent two hours at a local historic cemetery in my neighborhood. That was the most peace I’ve had in over a month. The calm, peace and semi-isolation was wonderful. I saw this poem on another blog which touched my heart and soul so I will share it. I especially like the line “I can become invisible.” Something that aligns with my feelings and emotions. I look forward to retirement because they I can fade away and will no longer be forced to interact with fake, phony people.
“How I go to the woods”
“Ordinarily, I go to the woods alone, with not a single
friend, for they are all smilers and talkers and therefore
unsuitable.
I don’t really want to be witnessed talking to the catbirds
or hugging the old black oak tree. I have my way of
praying, as you no doubt have yours.
Besides, when I am alone I can become invisible. I can sit
on the top of a dune as motionless as an uprise of weeds,
until the foxes run by unconcerned. I can hear the almost
unhearable sound of the roses singing.
If you have ever gone to the woods with me, I must love
you very much.” From Swan: Poems and Prose Poems (2010)
